My wife is at her wit’s end with her teaching job. What other jobs can she do with a degree in education?
She’s been teaching since 1999, but the last two years have been practically unbearable for her, as her students have been real hellraisers. This year she’s teaching Kindergarten, and each day is a challenge. She wants to find a related job, but is having difficulties. Any advice?

Does anyone have any advice on how to start a prayer circle?
People keep on blathering on and on about Palin instead of worrying about how a raise in taxes is going to hurt the people like me who are already paying as much as we can afford, and about why education is failing in Illinois, Obama’s own town, and the fact that Illinois is the 49th state in Education, and I just wondered if we can pray that we vote McCain so we don’t get a more corrupt senator into the highest office? What say you?

i had to leave sch in Nigeria due to sexual harressment. hw can i study for free?
my parents don’t want me studying in Nigeria anymore, because of all the harassment that is prevalent there. but the thing is we are not financially strong enough to support my education abroad. i was wondering if there is any means by which i can study for free abroad. in countries like Russia, Germany and Ukraine. i would like to study Architectural Design. i am aware that if it is possible, i would have to study the language first. this is not a problem whatsoever. i just want to study and get on with my life.

Why are the young Obama supporters cheering so loudly when Obama says they can go to college?
Most young Obama supporters don’t even value the free education from kindergarten through 12th grade they are given. So why do they think that college is for them? You know who I am talking about!
teener - you are telling me that the African-American population voting for Obama are the most educated?

International Education with current economy crisis, still worth it?
I have my BFA in Fine Arts and am looking at several art universities abroad for my Postgrad. After months of research and analyzing what’s right for me, this is the MFA program and experience I want but, with the current economic crisis, am I really shooting myself in the foot? Is this a totally ridiculous thing to consider, going international? Or getting a Masters period? I’d just like some advice from those who are particularly more in tune with the economic crisis right now and what might happen down the road. Thanks!

With the economy in the toilet, and jobs so scarce, should all illegal aliens be deported?
Do just say yes or no, tell me why. Knowing that illegal aliens costs millions in free education for their kids, health care costs, roads, police, fire, etc. all while taking jobs from American citizens and artificially low bidding wages of legal workers. What is your opinion?

Students who refuse to do any work. (Need advice from teachers and maybe some students too)?
I am currently working as a class within a class teacher for special education in a middle school and I have noticed that many of the students COULD do their work and do very well but they just refuse to do anything. I see some of the same students all day long but in differnt classes and all day long all they do is put their heads down and sleep and refuse to do anything. These kids are not mentally retard, they have learning disabilities and many have behavior problems but if I could just get them to do their work, I really feel like they could be sucessful. Any advice?
I don’t think it’s that they are not being challenged enough. These are kids with learning disabilties and they are really low. The work is on their level. They just won’t do it. We’ve tried rewarding kids for doing their work and punishing kids for not doing their work, sending kids to the office, calling home, writing them up, just ignoring them when they sleep, etc.
I don’t know what else to do. A lot of the other teachers allow it beause they don’t want to fuss with it or bother the other students but I just can’t let these kids fail. And they are failing because they simply won’t work.

How much higher do you want your taxes to go for more war?
They will have to go up someday to pay what we already owe and it seems a lot of Americans want to attack several new countries as well as keep up hundreds of new military bases in countries all over the world. Many want to continue “star wars programs” that will cost trillions.
How much higher can Americans go? Or what do we give up? Some Republicans want to give up a free education like a lot of 3rd world countries…
What else should we give up to pay for all these weapons and bases and wars?

What does anyone think of this idea to solve the problem of prison overpopulation?
This idea was actually offered by Dinah on another question that I asked. She suggests purchasing a large peice of land, barracading it off so that no one can escape, building housing on it and sending every prisoner in the country there. (Separating the sexes) There would be no laws or law enforcement. They would be free to do whatever to whoever.
That’s her idea, but I wouldn’t send a slight offender there, only the bad ones.
I think it would be hell on earth and we’d have people thinking twice before they commit crimes unlike nowadays, when they get taken care of, they get better medical benefits than most of us get and free education and recreational activities in prison. It would also cut down on our costs of supporting them and guarding them.
To Lauri K - that was the idea, to let them fend for themselves. All we tax payers would pay for was the land or island as some suggested.
To Shaka - Wow, that’s really drastic! Does anyone remember what soylent green was? It was an old Charleton Heston movie where there was no more food in the world so everyone ate this green stuff and he broke into the factory and found out it was made from people’s dead body’s.

What Should I Do To Become A Commercial Pilot For Southwest Airlines?
I am currently 13 years old and want to have a career in commercial airline transportation. I would like to know what I should do to prepare for the career like Highschool classes I should take. I know you don’t have to go to college just flight school , but I would like to know of a good college course to take because employers look for the better qualified person. I DO NOT WANT TO JOIN THE MILITARY AND GET A FREE EDUCATION THROUGH THEM. There is nothing wrong with the airforce, but with a war going on I don’t want to risk it. Also what is the price range that it will be costing me? I have been looking around and it looks like $60 grand for flight school.
Please help me decide. =Þ
